Spinach salad, goat cheese and strawberries
I found this recipe in a recent visit to Vapiano, a restaurant well known worldwide for high quality Italian dishes. My friend ordered the spinach salad with strawberries and I was a little intrigued by choice. Not the type to associate with anything but fruit desserts. Clearly not a fan pizza with pineapple, to understand what I mean. Occasionally, embrace the idea of grapes and cheese but that’s about the limit. However, I tasted a little of my friend’s salad and I was captivated from the first. Strong flavor of goat cheese is balanced taste of sour and fragrant strawberries. All ingredients are a discordant note, but are perfectly. A salad that is either a love or leave it aside. Gourmets will certainly appreciate opens new horizons, definitely!
Spinach (baby spinach) – 200g
Goat cheese – 100g
Strawberries – 50g
Red onion – 1 half
Pine seeds – 2 tsp
Raspberry balsamic vinegar – 1 tsp
Olive oil – 1 tsp
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the spinach and strawberries thoroughly, then leave them to drain. Cut strawberries into quarters, cut the onion into thin slices, goat cheese and cut it into cubes.
2. Heat a pan very well then brown pine nuts until golden. Do not let a lot not to burn. Mix all ingredients.
3. You have two options to prepare dressing: mix the ingredients be mentioned by me or, if time allows, try this recipe: Mix 10 Raspberry with a quarter cup of white vinegar, a quarter cup maple syrup a tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon dried tarragon, a quarter teaspoon of salt and a quarter cup of olive oil. Give ingredients in blender and add to salad.
